CLA Programming

CLA’s programs focus on civic education, leadership training, and elections awareness. Participants learn how local government works and how residents can make a difference.

CLA’s programming is a structured set of civic education and leadership development opportunities designed to help residents understand local government and build the skills needed to lead within it. Programming covers how decisions are made at the municipal level, the roles of elected officials, and the processes that shape community policy. Participants receive leadership training that strengthens public speaking, advocacy, and strategic decision-making. They also gain elections awareness, including how to engage in local elections, support community-centered candidates, and increase voter participation. Collectively, this programming equips residents with the knowledge, confidence, and tools to actively influence local government and create more representative leadership.
